If your site is listed in the Open Directory Project (ODP), you will sometimes find out that Google are taking descriptions from the ODP versions - something that is often worded by the editors there themselves.

You can now opt out this feature using a special meta tag:

[meta name="ROBOTS" content="NOODP" />

or just for Google bots:

[meta name="GOOGLEBOT" content="NOODP" />

And it's quite obvious not all Search Engines support this tag!

Just edit my "[" tag into a "<" tag.
